Apply to Stay

At the Seattle House

You may apply to stay at the House by completing the online application below or by calling our housing office at (206) 838-0610. Please only fill out an application if you are planning to arrive at the House in the next two weeks. We cannot accept applications in advance of two weeks before arrival.

You must meet the following requirements to submit a housing application:

  • Your child must be admitted to or receiving treatment at Seattle Children’s Hospital or one of Children’s satellite clinics
  • Your child must be 21 years of age or younger.
  • The patient must have a home address that is at least 45 miles away from the Seattle Ronald McDonald House.
  • Your stay must be 4 nights or more and families are prioritized by length of stay. 

In addition to our housing application, each individual over the age of 18 staying at the House must complete a safety screening. Please complete the safety screening form only after you have either submitted an online application or after it has been confirmed that you are on the waiting list. 

Our staff will call you within a few days of receiving an application to confirm details about your stay. If your arrival date is within 3 days, please call our housing office immediately at (206) 838-0610.

Our staff will call you 24 hours before your arrival to let you know if a room is available. We do not take advance reservations because we never know how long a child may need to stay at the House. Therefore, we are not able to reserve or guarantee a room more than 24 hours in advance.

As our House is normally full, we encourage families to also call Seattle Children’s Guest Services Department at (206) 987-9330 or toll free at 1-866-987-9330 to inquire about other housing options.
