Scholarships
Selection Criteria
Students are selected and awards are distributed based on demonstrated academic achievement, financial need and community involvement.
In 2008, 40 scholarships of $2,500 each were awarded to eligible graduating U.S. high school seniors who face limited access to educational and career opportunities in their communities. These scholarships are funded by the McDonald’s Western Washington Operators Association and matched by global Ronald McDonald House Charities, Inc. The RMHC National Scholarship Program is comprised of four individual scholarship programs including: RMHC/Asian Students Increasing Achievement (ASIA), RMHC/African American Future Achievers, RMHC/Hispanic American Commitment to Educational Resources (HACER), and RMHC Scholars.
